This work reflects a place I dream of spending time in after retirement. Having spent most of my life moving between big cities for academics, I’ve always been surrounded by the noise and rush of urban life. This piece is my vision of escaping to the countryside—a quiet, peaceful retreat where I can relax without stress. I imagine waking up surrounded by nature, and feeling at ease in a cozy, simple space. It’s about finding calm and slowing down, enjoying the beauty of the world around me, and just being at peace.
